Our thematic programme areas of Focus;

  1. Protection Assistance programme; To foster a protective environment and enhance access to justice for vulnerable refugees and host population; Legal assistance and remedies are provided; quality and responsive GBV interventions as well as strengthen Child protection safeguards. This also includes organizing women and children particularly to their rights to acquire educations and improve their health and participations in income generation activities.
  2. Emergency Response and Preparedness programme; million people are currently displaced from their homes, either across a border as refugees or internally as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Uganda. CAFOMI works collaboratively with partners assists communities in disaster prediction and mitigation through various relief and rehabilitation programmes
  3. Public Health promotion programme; Work with displaced communities and their host in the Implementation of programmes aimed at basic health care services (preventive ) including maternal health, child health, immunization, epidemic control and prevention leading towards reduced mortality.
  4. Water Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion programme (WASH); Work with displaced communities and their host in the Implementation of projects for the improved access to safe drinking water, hygienic sanitation and proper management of waste disposal or recycling.
  5. Energy, Environment protection and conservation programme; work for environmental protection, Conservation of natural resources, bio-diversity, pollution abatement, and environmental protection including raising awareness of environmental issues through advocacy, networking, public interest litigation and education
  6. Livelihood and Food security promotion programme; facilitate access to credit and motivate communities for group saving leading towards small enterprise development and income generating activities aimed at economic empowerment.
  7. Advocacy and Research programme support; CAFOMI strongly believes in maximizing its impact by transferring field experiences into knowledge through research to influence the development policies and practices of NGOs, donors and government agencies. On the other hand to strengthen advocacy, CAFOMI promotes orientation campaigns aimed at building social pressure to influence decision – making at national and international levels in favor of the deprived, marginalized and vulnerable segments of the community
